The Shellback Tactical Banshee 4.0 LT Lightweight Level III Armor Kit is a complete, mission-ready ballistic system designed for military personnel, law enforcement officers, and first responders who require rifle-rated protection without sacrificing mobility. This body armor vest provides a ready-to-deploy armor solution right out of the box, eliminating the need to source components separately.

This armor kit combines the Banshee 4.0 LT Plate Carrier with two Model LON-III-P lightweight level III rifle plates. Model LON III P plates are NIJ 0101.06 level III certified and listed on the NIJ Compliant Products List. The ballistic plates are constructed of UHMWPE (Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene) and weigh in at just 3.5 lbs.  Total weight for the entire armor kit with plates installed is superlight weight at just 9 lbs.

• Measure the circumference of your body where the bottom of your plate would sit on your torso 
• If worn correctly, the circumference measurement should be 13 inches below sternum notch
• Take the measurement and add 3 inches to get your final measurement 
• Use your final measurement to select from the sizing chart above

This kit includes Level III rifle-rated plates, designed to stop up to six rounds of 7.62 x 51 M80 ball.

How heavy is the full kit?

The system weighs approximately 9 lbs total with plates installed. This makes it a lightweight armor solution compared to many traditional rifle vests that weigh 20 lbs. 

What makes the LT version different?

The LT (Lightweight) design reduces bulk and weight, improving mobility and comfort during extended operations. Features a lightweight skeletal cummerbund with quick release buckles. Constructed of lightweight laminated nylon and shoulder buckles were removed to reduce weight. Made in the USA. 

Is this plate carrier compatible with chest rigs or placards made by other brands?

Yes - Banshee 4LT plate carrier will work with placards or chest rigs that have a Velcro back and clip into QASM buckles

Can side plates be added to this plate carrier?

Yes - we sell side plate pockets that hold 6 x 6 or 6 x 8 side plates. These pockets attach to the cummerbund via standard molle. 

Are there any full size cummerbunds that accept soft armor that will work with the Banshee 4LT?

Yes - Our Banshee Rifle, Banshee 2.0 and Banshee 3.0 cummerbund will work with the Banshee 4LT

Will dangler style pouches work with the Banshee 4LT?
