    Seems top shelf

My first carrier. Seems sturdy & well constructed. Not so heavy as to be an issue. Pair of plates about 15 lb. Only issue was the shoulder strap will losen, not a big deal , got them where i wanted androuted the slackup and around so it couldn't. Shipping was fast a few days from order to doorstep. Would buy again.

Level IV Armor, Great Price, Satisfied Customer

Posted by Nate on Aug 8th 2020

tldr; Great setup for the money invested. Can it be improved? Yes. Would I have gotten the Banshee 3.0 if I could have afforded it? Definitely. I've had this carrier and armor for less than a week and have not taken it to the field as of 08-08-20. I am 5'10" 180lbs - Properly fitting the armor requires the removal of the additional shoulder padding; your mileage may vary - The shoulder straps are made from a soft material and have slackened while LARPing around the house. I will see if webbed belt material is a suitable replacement -The quick buckles, at the shoulders, are underneath fabric. When changing out the soft shoulder straps I will try to relocate the buckles further up and then utilize the shoulder padding wraps, I am currently not using, to create an enclosed pad that houses the buckle and allows me to run wires/hydro underneath them.

Nice gear, great price, fast shipping.

I wanted to upgrade my kit from 3a to 4. I was looking at plates fot my safe life and was guided by amcon to Shellback. They had stock on hand and shipped the next day. I have the option of running the plates in my safelife or on top of my soft in the carrier or just stand alone carrier only. The carrier itself gives me space to run with 240 rds , 3 pistol mags ifac and a 1911. The velcro system is exceptional and very secure. I’m gonna order one for my lady next. Or myself as she has commandeered this one. It looks much better on her anyway. Thanks shellback!

    Pretty good

Fits well very comfortable only issue is the front and back panels are kinda small an run outta room fairly quick so can't really stack on as many accessories as I'd like but that's ok not as much weight then other that very happy with it gonna grab the side plates soon

    Amazing Quality

Posted by John on Jun 22nd 2020

I bought the active shooter skirmish plate carrier. Right out of the box I was very impressed with the quality and craftsmanship. Fits perfectly on me with out even adjusting anything. Im 5'10 200 pounds for reference. The price also couldn't beat after doing a lot of research on different plate carriers.

    Great Combo

Posted by Tim Kennedy on Jun 17th 2020

Received the product quickly, went together quickly. Easy to adjust, and comfortable. Plus, the cummerbund can be removed if you want to go as a more slick, basic carrier.

    One size may fit all

Posted by Jon on May 13th 2020

I bought a carrier and all pouches from shellback. Highly impressed with the quality of the work. Only issue is, the size. I’m active military, 6’2” 240 lbs and the carrier is about the size of a standard notebook on my chest. From the carrier, standpoint it’ll carry what I need/want. Just wish was a bit bigger, the top corners of the carriers/plates are barely across the center of my pecs and wearing it high enough for the back to cover my upper back, the front is maybe midway between the bottom of my sternum and my ribs. I have to wear it so high the front and back plate carriers touch over my shoulders. Can’t wear the pads that came with them or the $30ish pads I bought. Again, quality of work is there... just made for someone 6 inches shorter and 60 lbs lighter. Also, shoulder straps slide around(loosen) a bit.
