    Nice ugrade, small problems

Posted by Justin on Jun 24th 2020

Its a huge upgrade from my condor plate carrier. Pros: cumberbund fits well Confortable to wear for long times Cons: shoulder straps constantly loosen when i take it off so i have to keep adjusting them. Previously owned molle stuff fits loosely on it, so i dont know if its the vest or the pouches. Velcro admin pouch is very loud and not very practical.

    Bang for your buck!

Posted by Tim Kennedy on Jun 17th 2020

I am totally satisfied with this plate carrier. I'm 64" and 145 lbs lean. It fit great and is well constructed. Easy to adjust all the way around. Has lots of area to put your velcro patches and name tapes. Only thing I don't like is the shoulder straps retention. They have a tendency to come loose easily but this is easily mitigated with running a few rounds of tape to keep the straps in place (I used electrical tape). I'm very satisfied with this plate carrier and just the overall service from Shellback Tactical! I highly recommend this product.

    awesome

Posted by Wave on Jun 15th 2020

This is my first plate carrier. It is extremely comfortable! Only down side is the strap retention on the shoulders. If there isn't any weight on it they come loose. It can be a real pain in the butt. I taped mine up and that solved the problem. Bang for the buck I dont see how you could beat it.

Well made, sturdy, but too much extra in the way .

Posted by James Frankel on Jun 8th 2020

This product sizes and fits well, its well made and high quality material. Its lightweight and durable, the velcro is on point. The padding is comfortable and its not cumbersome. However, the kangaroo pouch is difficult to open properly, and too loud. The flap that closes over the cumberbund in front is awkward. I was miffed when there wasn't any product information like sizing the product, how to's, how to insert the side plates in the cumberbund.

    Almost Perfect

Posted by Kevin on May 29th 2020

Fit and construction is good. Cummerbund isn't too big or small, and the ability to remove the buckles is amazing. My biggest gripe is the shoulder strap retention. When there is no weight being put on the straps and you go to pick it up they come completely loose and you lose your fitting. Please make a locking buckle. I had to use electrical tape to make sure this doesn't happen. As well, the extra length of strap you have to tuck under a nylon cover. There is nothing but friction holding it there and more than likely will come out over time so you keep having to put it back in. Secondly the front and back halves can be a half of an inch shorter. When the plates are put in and pushed to the top and secured tightly there is about 3/4 of an inch of velcro overhanging. Does not affect function, just looks ugly.

    Lightweight, comfortable, well built

Posted by Zoe Smoak on May 25th 2020

Have worn multiple types and styles of body armor and plate carriers over the last 12 years of military service. This is by far the most comfortable. It’s weight and fit are outstanding. Holds plates tight to the body which makes running, jumping, etc easier, but still allows enough flex to breathe comfortably.

    Spectacular

This is my first plate carrier and I'm absolutely blown away by the quality for the price that I paid! The sizing chart is spot on. It's fully adjustable to fit my body size. It's lightweight and I cannot wait to fully deck it out. I highly recommend this product and the Company! Everything I've purchased was shipped within a timely manner and the customer service was amazing!

    Carrier beyond it’s value.

Posted by Jake on May 18th 2020

This plate carrier exceeded my expectations for what to expect from a $100 carrier. The stitching and padding is flawless. Velcro is extremely strong and should hold up over time very well. But most of all it’s comfortable!
