Great buy!

I tend to be a minimalist when it comes to plate carriers as I value maneuverability over excessive weight. This carrier is exactly what I've been looking for. I've tried a few stealth carriers and they work fine, but this one is perfect for a grab-and-go carrier for your vehicle, as a backup to your main, or even as your main carrier if you want to keep it light. The shoulder pads are comfortable and not bulky, and the clips are pretty stout and seem to stay secure even with movement. I pair it with a gun belt, or a molle vest if I want to carry more, and I can wear a light jacket over it and it barely prints. Perfect for someone who may need some light protection in cooler climates. Throw some level IV plates in there and you're ready to rock. I did remove the tourniquet pouch and threw an extra mag in there. It does not secure with a cord like the other two but holds well through friction. I also tend to like the kangaroo pouch system over an external pouch.

I like it so far, I didn't put 5 stars yet because I don't have plates as of yet, but once I get some and make sure it fits, and retains them well, I'll be happy to rate it higher. It fits well, no issues, I do wish it had an option between the tourniquet holder and a 3rd mag pouch but you can remove the holder and put a mag in its stead, however it isn't tight or held in, and just sits inside the empty spot. 4/5 (for now)

First time getting a plate carrier from these guys, not disappointed. It’s very comfortable and slim. Not as bulky as my other carrier. Definitely getting another one from them soon.

Great Value

Purchased this along with a new set of plates as a grab and go kit for when I’m working as a Paramedic. I have been multiple active shooter/gunshot victim scenarios where having armor would have been nice, glad this will help if/when that time comes again. Thank you Shellback Tactical.

First impression is good. The shipping was very fast and was delivered with my add-ons as ordered. This is my first Shellback product so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The material and stitching looks to be good quality. This was meant to be a secondary for a vehicle I rarely use. Hoping to get to the range and test it a bit. The slim / minimal design leads me to believe it will be very maneuverable with the swimmer cut plates I put in. Bonus for the carrying bag. Hesitant to give 5 stars because I can’t speak to the durability, though I am optimistic it will hold up well.

I bought the carrier so I could have a grab and go set on the job as an LEO. Overall it’s a nice set up so far, plates fit perfectly and the built in kangaroo pouch saved some coin. Only critiques I have are the side straps and the shoulder straps. The side straps are dual adjusting (so both front and rear adjust) and the shoulder straps could use some extra padding. The dual adjustments give you a big range but it becomes a lot of extra fabric even in all my gear so you end up chasing it around if you’re in a hurry. the shoulder straps are good for short wear but if you’re rocking it all shift you’re gonna want some extra.
