I’m a small guy (140lbs, 5’10”) and finding a PC that fits snuggly is a challenge. This one does the trick. I can run easily without it bouncing all over the place. As everyone else has said, it’s very comfortable (as much as anything this heavy can be) and has lots of storage right out of the box. I comfortably carry the following for ~6 hours regularly: 6 mags for my AR, 2 mags for my handgun, my handgun, and a knife.
Additionally, it’s difficult to describe but the way the shoulder strap and pad are designed makes it easy to shoulder a rifle comfortably. That’s never been the case for any PC I ever used previously.

My first plate carrier, so no real comparison to others. But I like it so far, great features and padding in the right spots. With the matching IIIA soft armor inserts-which fit perfectly-it feels great. I was able to fit both the IIIA soft armor inserts and 1" level IV plates (SBT was out of stock so I bought SAS NIJ Listed Level IV multi-hit ceramic) in it but the cummerbund then became really tight and hard to get the last part of the cummerbund to overlap into the front to buckle the last buckle. Haven't tried it without the soft backers (they aren't technically needed since the level IV plates are stand alone) but that would probably work better. Once buckled it was comfortable but for some reason it was hard to get the end of the cummerbund to want to bend the right way and insert into the front. Maybe just needs some break-in time. I may try a larger model cummerbund for the plates+soft armor setup to see if is easier/faster to don. I was close to the high range of waist for the smaller size cummerbund and it is pretty easy to don with just the IIIA soft armor inserts.

The response time on knowing if it was in stock and how fast my order shipped was really great.

i will start off with i ordered my carrier on sunday and it shipped monday and i received wednesday. great shipping speed. poorly packed though. literally just stuffed in a cardboard box. i was a bit disappointed that the patch is not included for 400 dollars. the carrier is super quality and seems very durable. i just received it so i cant speak towards the durability 100% but the materials are nice quality. the qd cummerbund is a nice upgrade and is easily closed and opened with the pull tab. the pull tab had shrink tube around it to prevent snags which i thought was a great idea. im 6 foot 175 pounds and athletic build. i cannot adjust the shoulder straps enough with the shoulder padding to get the carrier to sit high enough on my chest or back. the back also droops much lower than it should and you cannot independently adjust the front and back like some other carriers. the weight of my ifak causes that side shoulder strap to loosen easily with any movement. the shoulder straps do not retain tension under any load at all and i dont even have my plates in. simply sitting on my hanger will cause the straps to come loose within the matter of minutes. i would recommend taping the strap to itself to prevent it from slipping loose. this however is my only compliant and im sure i will find a work around.

Love the 3.0 no complaints so far. It’s comfy, light and breathable. Plenty of space to do what you need pouch wise. Definitely recommend

I bought this a few days ago and it arrived yesterday - Kudos to the shipping time. It was awesome! I'm a big guy, meal team six and all that. I weigh 270lbs(down from 315) and am 5'8, and this thing still fits. Having said that, I had to loosen it all the way and it's still a little hard to breathe in it. If you're bigger than that, lose some weight before you pull the trigger on this. The quality is excellent and the carrier is extremely comfortable. It's probably due to my size, but the integrated side mag pouches are a no-go for me. Aside from that, they're kind of hard to get mags into even I'm not wearing it, the cummerbund is a little stiff. I'm sure it'll loosen up. I definitely trust this product with my life, and I'm glad I ordered it. Also, I asked for a some cool patches and stickers and Shellback totally followed through. Love it!

O Very well built plate carrier with good padding integrated throughout
O Intelligent design keeps the carrier slim creating a smaller profile also makes it easier to shoot prone.
O Intergrated pouches are useful, lessening the need to get more pouches
O cummberbund and shoulder clips allow quick access if injured)
O Price* (I believe integrated features save money in long run, just seems like big initial investment)
O Pay attention to size of cummberbund when in doubt go bigger
I have owned two of the original banshees ( 1 black, 1 multicam) for a several years. I always thought they were very well made. Both performed well. I recently went to training that focused on prone shooting in full kit. It pointed out some issues with my old setup that made it difficult. I began looking for a new carrier that would make it easier to prone out. I looked at several different companies comparing price, material and features (pouches, padding, etc.). Eventually I selected the Banshee 3.0. I am very impressed with the laser cut molle I’ve gotten to test other laser cut carriers and I believe this is much more well made. The padding integrated throughout is very comfortable. The admin pouch, hydration pouch and cummberbund mag pouches are great. I use one of the mag pouches to place my radio in, works great. For medical purposes the entire plate carrier can be removed in seconds by pulling Shoulder clips and cummberbund clips.
I really have no criticisms just things a buyer needs to be aware of. The size matters for the cummberbund. Take the time measure yourself. If in doubt go bigger. Now the price, on first view it seems expensive BUT when you look at all the features that are included I would say this saves you between $100 to $200. The admin, hydration pouches would be close to $70 to $100 The pads along with cummberbund pouches would be another $70 to $100.
Best plate carrier I’ve ever owned and I’ve owned/used several (for military and lake enforcement). I think this will be the last carrier I will ever buy, since I plan on being done in the next 10 years.

I ordered the Banshee 3.0 in Multicam and I have to say, this is the best, most comfortable plate carrier on the market. The laser cut molle looks sharp - aesthetics and function matter, and this design is certainly top of the line. The shoulder straps and front and rear padding make even heavy plates much more comfortable to wear. My favorite thing is the integrated magazine pockets on the sides - I have 6 magazines flanking me in the integrated pouches, eliminating the need for a bulky set on the front of the plate carrier (which eliminates the discomfort felt in prone positions). The tear-away buckles make donning and removal easy. Every single stitch of this PC feels 'Gucci.'
I had the pleasure of working with Ken from Shellback who helped me multiple times as I trialled the PC. If you have ANY questions, he's the guy to talk to - always professional, quickly responsive, and incredibly knowledgeable.
I'm deeply appreciative of Shellback and Ken specifically for helping me land on my 'forever' PC - you have a customer for life.

Just received my coyote brown PC. Gotta say it looks and feels amazing, at first they sent me a multicam color which was not the Color i had ordered (coyote) i immediately emailed support and they responded first thing in the morning!
They emailed me a return label, went to drop off the pc at UPS and they sent the Replacement right away with Next Day air shipping. i was and still am impressed by the costumer service.
Thank you Ken Hayes for your help!

Starting off by saying, I wear plates a lot so buying this plate carrier came with a lot of research. Now since this is a new product I was doing mine based off the elite 2.0 and decided to pull the trigger on the 3.0. I haven’t been disappointed at all. The material feels sturdy and well made. The shoulder padding is amazing and I really enjoy the quick detachment. One thing I’d like to point out is that on the website there is no pictures of this in multicam although I am here to say it looks good. Overall I think anyone in the market for a lightweight and sturdy carrier won’t be disappointed in this.
