Our Story

Born in 2003, Shellback Tactical has been committed to equipping those who serve with innovative tactical gear to fight the good fight. What began with a single mission to build better gear, quickly led to innovation that changed the tactical industry forever. We were the first to bring a tactical plate carrier to market with our iconic Banshee Rifle Plate Carrier. 


Today our product lineup has evolved into complete armor solutions including ballistic helmets, plates and vests. Our gear is worn and trusted by military, law enforcement and first responders around the globe. Our staff includes military veterans, law enforcement professionals, and industry experts who bring firsthand knowledge of what works, what doesn’t work and what can be improved on.
